The Government of Uzbekistan increased the rates of the additional duty for entry and transit, which is collected to each foreign vehicle, crossing the state border of Uzbekistan with Tajikistan.
In line with the governmental resolution from 12 July 2010, Uzbekistan increased duty rate for trucks and buses from other foreign states from US$175 to US$200.

Uzbek President Islam Karimov signed on 9 July 2010 a decree to increase salaries, pensions, stipends and social allowances from 1 August 2010.
The document was adopted for further increasing income and life standards of population, as well as strengthening social support of the citizens.

Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed a law, which bans advertisement of tobacco and tobacco products, as well as alcohol drinks of any degree.
MPs reviewed the law “On introduction changes and amendments to Law “On advertisement” and article 178-1 of Code of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility” at their session on 22 June.
In line with the document, Uzbekistan will ban advertisement of tobacco products, as well as alcohol drinks of any degree.

Central Bank of Uzbekistan and the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan expended a list of retail trade and service objects, which should install POS-terminals in mandatory order. The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan registered a resolution of the Central Bank and the State Tax Committee “On introduction of changes into the regulation on order of equipping and using POS-terminals in conducting money operations with the population.”

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov approved new regulation on State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan with his resolution.
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On further improvement of legal regulation bodies of the state tax service”.
The document said that the State Tax Committee is the national body on control over adherence to tax legislation, protection of economic interests ate property rights of the government. The committee is accountable for the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.
The Uzbek President appoints and exempts the chairperson of the State Tax Committee, the regulation said.

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a law “On judicial expertise” and a law “On additional changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with the adaptation of the law “On judicial expertise” on 1 June 2010.
The law “On judicial expertise” was passed by the Legislative Chamber on 18 November 2009 and approved by the Senate on 7 May 2010.
