Farmers of Uzbekistan collect 3.4m tones of raw cotton in 2009
 

Over 7.3 million tonnes of grain, including 6.6 million tonnes of wheat, were collected in Uzbekistan in 2009. Farmers also collected 3.4 million tonnes of raw cotton.
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov stated this at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of social-economic development of Uzbekistan in 2009 and important priorities of economic programme of 2010.
Uzbek leader Islam Karimov said these results were achieved despite difficult climate conditions in 2009.
